TechArt Demo: Toon Ocean

A tech art project based on a study of The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker's ocean. Made with Godot. Work in progress
Features
- Ocean's waves
Plane mesh displaced with a simple noise by vertex shader. Computed in global coordinates so it's only needed to render a plane mesh around the camera, instead of rendering the whole ocean (would be too much polygons).
- Physics object buoyancy computed from ocean displacement
- Ocean's color is obteained by mixing 2 layers of the same greyscale texture and simple displacement mapping for watery effect.
- Simple wind FX using Godot particles system
